Establishment of a Supporting Welfare Structure
I would like to inform you that in application of the circular 23/18659 / 17-3-2020 in the context of the implementation of the measures for the protection of the social whole from the spread of the COVID-19 corona, with my decision I recommend a temporary supportive structure of social welfare and solidarity which will take care to meet the needs of vulnerable groups who cannot be served on their own or by relatives.
In particular, the provisional support structure for social welfare and solidarity:
- It will immediately proceed to the registration of the residents of our municipality who cannot or are not allowed to move from their homes and are unable to serve according to their statement (vulnerable groups – the elderly).
- It will proceed immediately to the registration of the needy and financially weak residents of our municipality who cannot or are not allowed to move from their homes and are unable in their declaration to be served.
The employees of the above mentioned structure undertake:
- The service of our above fellow citizens on issues of medical care and basic necessities (prescription and supply of medicines, food, etc., essential items at their own expense).
- The processing of the requests of the above fellow citizens, such as the receipt of applications – delivery of certificates, etc., for all types of certificates issued through KEP and other public services located on the island.
From Thursday, March 26, 2020, our citizens for their above needs will call 2247034100 daily from Monday to Friday and during the hours 09.00-17.00
They will also be able to send requests to the email that will be created for this purpose, which we will announce
